Oxygen Sensor

Pretty awesome guy! He did more than I expected him to do - going over my car and checking everything. He replaced the sensor with the same exact brand as the factory installed one, which I appreciated. It was a lot more convenient than taking my car to the dealer, not to mention a lot less expensive!! I will definitely be calling on Theodore again.

SERVICE

Fuel Pump

AMOUNT PAID

$536.40
by Justin from Everett, WA 98208

Cesar was very knowledgable in helping diagnose my problem with my WRX not starting. He first suggested to change the spark plugs because there was too much fuel in the spark plugs when checked. Since I knew that had not been done in a while, I agreed. After the change, my car was good as new. Two days later my car stopped starting again. Cesar came out again and found out that it was my fuel pump. He did a great job and let me know what else I should watch out for next. YourMechanic is way better than bringing your car into a car repair shop and way more convenient. You don’t have to tow your broken down car to a place then trying to figure out a way home. My girlfriend and I will never use any other service. Thank you again for all the work you have done. And I hope I don’t see you soon or if I do I will be quick to schedule with you.

SERVICE

Oil Change

AMOUNT PAID

$1053.74
by Chawalit from Everett, WA 98204

Ian sent me a message that he could come earlier than my appointment time and since I was already home, I appreciated the earlier start time. Ian is super friendly and a knowledgeable mechanic, as well as patient and seemed very trustworthy (I hardly ever trust anyone from the start, especially mechanics. He was also able to answer all of my questions). He took pictures of everything that he did, so much different than any other mechanic that has worked on my car. Pretty cool that "Your Mechanic" offers this type and level of service. I will be using "Your Mechanic" if and when my car needs servicing and I would hope that Ian was the mechanic that came out. Thank you very much to Ian and to "Your Mechanic"

Answers to common Subaru questions

Lots of noise on startup, car isn’t a morning person
Answered by Tom
Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question. Due to the design and characteristics of the “boxer” style engine, this cold-start noise is considered “normal” by Subaru corporate. It may be a good idea to have a professional at...
If I take my foot up off the as it might shoot forward
Answered by Tom
Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question and concern. A surge like this could be caused by any number of electrical sensors (intake temperature sensor, throttle position sensor, etc.). It could also be caused by a mechanical malfunction...
Head gaskets failed how likely is it to happen again?
Answered by Tom
Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question. The design of the “boxer” engine makes for a high probability of head gasket problems. Coolant and oil drainage isn’t like typical “V” or inline style engines, so coolant and oil...
Driver seat broke and basically collapsed
Answered by Tom Rendahl
Greetings! Thank you for writing in about this problem. The welds on the seat brackets may have broken. This seems to be a common problem in this generation of Forester. A professional mechanic from YourMechanic can diagnose what failed (https://www.yourmechanic.com/book/?mktg_jid=391)...
