Pardeep was an excellent tech. He showed up on time and made sure my car was back up and running with the correct parts for a fair price. Would book him again as a tech to work on my car, for sure. 👍

At first I skeptical about this app and service but after Khoa replaces my front brakes I knew it was safe to utilize this service. He did a great job with my brakes so I wanted to use him for and oil change and spark plug replacement. Khoa did a great job and I’d highly recommend him for servicing your vehicle.

I find Robert Panaggio an excellent asset to the YourMechanic organization. He’s knowledgeable and very skilled in providing automotive service to customers who’d rather sublet the job to folks who knows how to do it. Today, I had the pleasure of knowing how Robert approaches the job at hand. He removed my Subaru Forester’s fuel sender unit and replaced it with a new one to my great satisfaction. But, to do it is not just a simple R/R, he had to pull out the rear bench seat and other accessories on the way, to just locate its location prior to the actual R/R task. Robert is prompt in reporting to work and he made me feel at ease and comfortable that I am in good hands. Overall, my experience with your organization in terms of quote request, pricing, appointment setting, and job follow through is second to none. I would definitely recommend your company to my friends and to whomever not familiar with YourMechanic.

Honorio was on time, very thorough and professional. He went above and beyond when he diagnosed and fixed my A/C issue even though it was unrelated to the timing belt replacement.

AMOUNT PAID

$244.07
by Melissa from Palo Alto, CA 94306

I love that Honorio communicates beforehand if he is unable to arrive by the scheduled time. It was because he had a flat tire and the tire shop only opened at 9am - not his fault! As usual, great service from him and I'll continue to use his services.

Trevor was very professional and clearcut in his explanations. I am left in no doubt about what work is remaining on my car. It was a great experience. Highly recommended. I would however say that there was some confusion about the "mystery" supplement. Yourmechanic.com needs to figure out why you guys are recommending it and need to tell your mechanics about it.

Hello Jacqueline! Thank you for writing in with this question. This problem could be related to a bad gas cap o-ring, or something more involved like an evaporative emissions system leak, or canister purge solenoid problem. Since the Check Engine...
Q: Timing belt failed, how do I keep it from happening twice?
Answered by Tom Rendahl
Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question. Timing belt replacement is generally recommended by Subaru at 105,000 miles, or 105 months. Other manufacturers recommend replacing them between 60,000-90,000 miles. It is very possible that there were contributing factors...
Q: Driver seat broke and basically collapsed
Answered by Tom Rendahl
Greetings! Thank you for writing in about this problem. The welds on the seat brackets may have broken. This seems to be a common problem in this generation of Forester. A professional mechanic from YourMechanic can diagnose what failed (https://www.yourmechanic.com/book/?mktg_jid=391)...
Q: Lots of noise on startup, car isn’t a morning person
Answered by Tom
Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question. Due to the design and characteristics of the “boxer” style engine, this cold-start noise is considered “normal” by Subaru corporate. It may be a good idea to have a professional at...
