Answers to common Mercedes-Benz 250SE questions

Q: The car will not crank but makes a light clicking noise.
Answered by John
When you hear a clicking under the hood instead of the starter, I immediately think of the battery voltage. It could be that the charging system is not working and you drove the car until the battery voltage dropped off....
Q: How is it possible for my wheels to fall off?
Answered by Jay
If you have had wheels fall off then the only thing is the lug nuts were not tightened to specifications.
Q: The ASR light came on and the car went into limp mode - (the gas pedal work from the middle of pressing it).
Answered by Marvin
Hi there. The ASR light is on for an issue with the throttle pedal position sensor located on the gas pedal. You may be able to reset the parameters without replacing any parts. Perform the following to reset the lights...
Q: Brake system, coolant leak, brake fluid leak ,wheel hub
Answered by Kevin
All of these repairs are feasible. Brake systems can leak at a variety of points but the repairs are pretty straightforward. What I would suggest is you visit the YourMechanic (https://www.yourmechanic.com) Internet portal and request brake leak diagnostic and repair...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Tim was great; offered advice instead of just blindly fixing. Also Tim was super friendly and very genuine. Highly recommend!

I have to be honest, this was the first time that, I have EVER felt 'at-ease' around an auto mechanic. Jonas was thorough and straight forward with me about the issues; gave me a quote directly after doing the diagnostics on the car and, as it turned out, it cost me less than the original estimate. When does that ever happen with auto repairs ?? He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. You folks made the whole experience convenient and painless. I'm "sold" on the "Your Mechanic" concept. I'll probably never take my car again to a traditional mechanic !! Jonas was a pleasure to deal with !

Very impressed with the quality of work. Ned was on time and on budget. There were no surprise extra costs. Ned even helped me out with my other car, even though I didn't have an appointment for the other car. He took care of all of my car problems and he even found me a coupon for an oil change. I will be using this service again.
