James was willing to squeeze his schedule for me on early Thanksgiving morning to fix another root of the problem such as a damaged pulley with its bearings loose. He was very knowledgeable about cars and communicative when it came to normal conversation. He let me see what he was doing with the belt area and he was giving me automotive tips. I was satisfied he got the belt up and running without any problems at all. I recommend James to anyone else who doesn't want to pay for expensive service repairs at dealerships or automotive service repair chains.

Answers to common Chevrolet G10 Van questions

Q: Does my vehicle have an oil pressure sender or oil pressure sensor or both and where is it located?
Answered by Jeff
Your motor (454/7.4L Big Block Chevy) should have an oil pressure sending unit that is typically mounted just above the oil filter housing. This is a relatively small unit (about the diameter or a quarter or slightly bigger) with threads...
Q: car dont crank
Answered by Richard
Based on the information you gave for your 2004 Chevy Impala, it may be a bad relay (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-relay-replacement), or possibly the ignition switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-switch-replacement), or maybe even something else. I suggest having a certified technician, like one from YourMechanic, come...
Q: My car is lean on bank one and two. Are the oxygen sensors bad?
Answered by David
It is certainly possible that the (pre-cat) O2 sensors were leaning the engine out. It is also possible there is a fuel supply issue: clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump, fuel pump relay with burned contacts, or a fuel pressure...
Q: When I stop at the stop light or a stop sign my car shuts off.
Answered by Jeff
It sounds like you may have a dirty or failing idle air control valve. The idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement) monitors the air intake as it is mixed with fuel prior to being injected into the engine at low speeds...

Milton was great! Called to let me know when he'd be arriving. Very friendly & very thorough with his explanations. Took his time to make sure, double, triple check that everything was running properly. Very pleasant experience!

Paul did a good job fixing my car quickly. He also got a accurate diagnostic of my car's isues.

Tom went above and beyond to make me as satisfied as I could be. His communication was excellent. Friendly and professional and best if all, my car is running great and he did it without unnecessary repairs. I would and will highly recommend Tom and Your Mechanic to everyone. Thanks, Rob Miller.
