Nathan appeared to have done a good job. He did the work fast and stayed with the car and tested the work done and that it was working properly. We did get a manufacturer specific code that has to be followed up with MINI, but does not appear to be related to his work. I would recommend him to work on my car again when needed.

Brett is excellent! I had a terrible first appointment with Patrick. I had to book a second appointment to finish the work that Patrick did not complete. I also added an oil change. Because Patrick did not communicate that he had the wrong part (he told me I didn't need the part after all so he didn't replace it), the same part was sent out with Brett. Brett was very apologetic and went out of his way to research the part I need and helped me come up with a plan to get my car fixed properly FINALLY!! Oil change done and new part on the way! Brett is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond. Be sure to book him for your appointment!! I will never use anyone else.

Why do I smell oil and about how much will it cost to repair it?
Answered by Blake
Hello Diana. If you still have the service documents from the dealership a technician will be able to tell you if the leaks are new or a recurring issue. Mini Coopers will usually have a leak around the oil pan...
My 2008 Mini Cooper S has a check engine light on and the code is P0977.

The code P0977 (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0977-obd-ii-trouble-code-shift-solenoid-b-control-circuit-high-by-brady-klopfer) will set if the transmission control module (TCM) records an abnormal voltage reading from a shift solenoid in the transmission.
