John is fantastic. He showed up on time (even a little early) and did a great job replacing all four brake pads. The first thing he did was make sure that all four pads actually needed to be replaced--he said often people request all four to be changed but only two of them need to be (in my case, I knew all four needed to be changed, and he agreed). He was extra careful not to damage the garage floor (which had just been sealed), showed me the worn pads that were removed after he was finished, and waited for me to drive the car around the block to make sure there were no issues. Took photos to document everything. No complaints, and I will be happy to pay John to work on my car again.

Lavell was on time/early and thorough completing the service and inspection. He explained clearly what was done and helped to plan what should be addressed next given our schedule and needs. When he had the wrong parts due to my mistake on the initial order, he simply accommodated a prompt reschedule to return later to finish the job. He didn't check all the things in the report, for instance, my tires are brand new. My biggest complaint was that he didn't do the battery system reset needed on modern cars. I had called YourMechanic specifically asking to have that done, as I could have changed the battery by myself with help from my son. He said that's not part of it, but that's not what I was told on the phone before I ordered. Other than that he was nice, and was thorough in his work that he did do. Not sure which this is: a YM problem or the mechanic problem. Thus this comment.

Tam did a good job fixing the problem at hand (a faulty ignition coil). He was thorough and explained the problem to me and fixed it wonderfully. That said, he discovered a bigger problem, an oil leak, and said he would get me a quote for fixing it by the evening of the appointment (Wednesday). It's now Friday and I never received it, so the follow through wasn't there.
