Excellent and knowledgeable mechanic. Figured out why my 98 Volvo wouldn't start, and came back the next day and fixed it with the part needed. Got my car running. He even did a test drive to make sure everything was o.k. What great service!

John was excellent. He called to see if he could come early. He knew his stuff and quickly completed the ordered work. My battery was dead, really dead and unlike normal cars GM makes it challenging to get to the battery. My choice was to have the car towed to a shop and then get repairs which would have been both a hassle and much more expensive than Your Mechanic. I would use this service and John again.

John showed up even earlier than the appointment time, which is always a good thing. He was courteous, professional, and unlike a lot of younger "specialized" mechanics, has a vast knowledge of all automobiles--old and new. As a fellow old-schooler, I can appreciate his experience and expertise in handling situations, even when Murphy's Law--what can go wrong will go wrong--comes into play. I've known younger mechanics who, if something doesn't go "as the manual describes," can't use critical thinking skills to tackle a dilemma. Given that this work was performed in the field instead of a fully equipped repair shop and that the job was done with diligence and excellence, I'd trust his work more than any "millennial" who can only go by the book. Of course, there are certain limitations to what can be done on site. For this, I'd typically give an 8 of 10 likelihood to recommend him to a friend or colleague. But, if the job is within his scope of practice and the requisite tools are accessible, I'd definitely recommend him as a "10" for the appropriate repairs. I believe that yourmechanic.com would not send him (or any other mechanic) to a job for which he is not properly equipped, so that should never be an issue.
