Andrew has come to fix my car on two occasions and both times he was on time for the appointment, professional , and extremely thorough in his examination of my car and diagnosis. He is honest and straightforward as to what my vehicle actually needs done immediately, and what I can hold off on for awhile. Money can be tight sometimes, so I do appreciate that. I highly recommend this mechanic!

Excellent work! This truck commonly ends up with broken bolts when removing the exhaust manifold. He did it without any broken! He replaced them with "never-seize" and new bolts. A good, quality job. I'm sure I will be using them/him again!

I was buying an old Ford F-250 online and had Robert do an inspection of the truck on my behalf since I live in another state. Turned out the guy had made the truck seem a lot more functional and nice on eBay. Robert told be the real condition and saved me a lot of money. He was timley, friendly, and honest.

Jose called and was able to come early. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He needed parts that were not available so he made an appointment that fits both of our schedules to come back.

AMOUNT PAID

Jose went above and beyond for a simple pre-purchase car inspection. I wasn't able to leave work and be there for the actual appointment, but Jose gave me a call beforehand to ask if there was anything in particular I wanted him to checkout. Afterwards he spent some time walking through everything that he saw with the car piece by piece. In addition, he gave me some negotiating tips as well as the idea to have the dealer make the car a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and I didn't even think of that! Overall, fantastic experience and would suggest Jose to my closest friends/families and anyone looking to have a pre-purchase inspection done!

Mr. Corbett explain everything to me in a way that I would understand what was going on with my car but most of all he has a wonderful personality and excellent customer service approach. I would definitely recommend your company with the exception referring customers to him.

Answers to common Ford questions in Portland

Getting harder to shift into first gear. Car sometimes shutters when accelerating in first.

This may suggest the transmission synchros may be wearing out. Your transmission has small gear synchronizer rings that help to move the transmission in and out of the various gears. When these begin to wear out, you may notice it...
Brake master cylinder leaking, clutch jammed up. Is quote for new clutch that doesn't mention brake master reasonable? 1998 Ford Escort
Answered by David
Hi there - I think the fact that the brake and clutch hydraulic system share the reservoir is confusing how to repair 2 separate issues. For sure, your brake master cylinder (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-brake-master-cylinder) appears to be failing, and should be replaced....

What is normal idle for a 2005 Ford focus?
