My 2015 Nissan versa sedan a/c doesn't want to turn on. When I put it into vent air in ac mode it doesn't go but when I'm driving then I feel a very faint cold air going through but when I put it into central air there's nothing at all period. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the [coolant](/topics-coolant-nissan/) level? Have you checked for a leak in the radiator? I just got the radiator replaced one month ago Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Versa yourself? What have you tried so far? I want to fix it possibly my self but that's why I'm asking for advice Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? I also got a recharge done for the AC 2 months ago before the radiator replaced. So I don't know if I need another one?

Hey there, my name is Jake. Sorry your having issues, but thanks for reaching out. are you saying the vents don't BLOW AIR regardless of fan speed?

Hi JakeOr it's very low air like faintIt just randomly happened.
Automotive Expert
thanks, \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* like the blower motor is not working. This could be from the fan control amp (similar to a resistor) or the blower itself.

Yesterday was working great no problem. I was hearing a very light noise once I put the fan on full blast but that was around 12 midnight then next day around 2 pm the AC didn't turn on at allThe blower motor? Meaning the AC blower motor? The fan control amp? Like it might need a fuse replacement?
Automotive Expert
sounds like the blower itself may be dead then. you can try reaching under the dash and smacking it to see if it kicks on, if so it neeeds replaced obviosuly.

Forgive me not being mechanically inclined. I just wanted to see if I can diy myself or need a mechanic
Automotive Expert
The fan amp is a pulse width controller to control fan speed, its mounted on the blower motor.

Reaching under my dash where at?Do I need to remove my glove compartment?2015 Nissan versa sedan model s. It's a basic model with roll up windows
Automotive Expert
no, you have to get to it on the drivers side. you may want to have a mechanic do it, you have to remove the accelerator pedal to access it up higher in the dash. The rotate when removing it to get it past the dash beam.

I might need a mechanic not a diy then is your recommendationI ask this because I am a Lyft driver. I use the app openbay and it gives me options to get service done but I need to know what type of service I would need to get it done

These are some of the options openbay gives me
Automotive Expert
you need someone to verify the fan control pulse with a meter (fairly easy for a technician) if they fan amp is bad replace it, if good then the blower needs replaced. the 3rd and 4th from the bottom are blower motor and blower motor resistor

Ok should I request the service of the heater blower motor replacement?

Here's the other options when I click other ac

I just want to make sure our closely make sure what service I am going to request from this mechanic I'll be seeing
