Q: Why does my engine temp gauge fluctuates between mid range and fully over heated in my 1998 Toyota Corolla

When im driving the temp gauge fluctuates between midrange (normal) and full (overheating) usually gets higher with increased speed i tried to refil my coolant but it didnt work and still would not stay constant (this has only started imidiatly after i changed my spark plugs out)

My car has 180000 miles.
