The doors keep unlocking and locking by themselves while driving , there is also a faint single beep from somewhere in the dash before this happens, it’s a Chevy Malibu 06 Mechanic's Assistant: Is this your first time dealing with this issue? Yes Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your Malibu? 2006 Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Malibu yourself? What have you tried so far? It just happened we haven’t tried anything yet Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? That should be all that I know

Hi I'm Tom I'll be assisting you with your issue today.

Hey I'm Seth nice to meet you
Automotive Expert
It's my pleasure. Issue if the contracts on the driver's door lock switch are corroded. You can remove it and clean it but if there's still and issue you will need to replace it. Very common for this issue. This is the next step.

Where would like those be located
Automotive Expert
The driver's door lock lock switch the one you use on the door to unlock the doors on the door panel. That switch goes bad.

Is there a way to disable it temporarily
Automotive Expert
You can unplug it.

Is that a hard thing to do
Automotive Expert
No let me see if I can find the procedure.

Okay thank you
