Trung did a pre-purchase inspection on a 4Runner that I was considering buying. The owner said it "runs excellent." The car had major mechanical issues and Trung's inspection saved me at least $2,000 in repairs. There was a slight language barrier but his diagnostic skills are top notch and were worth the $120 fee. I won't purchase a used car without YourMechanic's pre-purchase inspection services. Having mobile mechanics willing to travel anywhere in the Bay Area is a huge plus. I will also consider them for repair/maintenance services once I purchase another car based on this experience and the repair order quote. :)

I clearly stated to the mechanic that my car needed a 5W20 oil viscosity level, and the oil cap in the car stated the same thing. But later I still saw him pouring in a 10W30 oil instead. I don't know if it was because he was not equipped with a 5W20 oil or because he thought my car is too old (138k miles) to be given a 5W20. I thought by giving prior information about my car (Corolla 2009) with give the company enough information about the kind of oil and filter needed to do the job. Well, what's done is done.

Jose came through and did a great job after a prior mechanic improperly installed the serpentine/drive belt on my SUV when replacing the alternator. Jose is knowledgeable and honest. He saved me some money by telling me I booked unneeded services and did just what I needed. He also has the same kind of car as me and understands not every car needs the same routines at the same times, and gave me some advice about my prius battery. As a bonus, he showed up 10 minutes early and finished an hour or so before the estimated time given.
