Q: Dashboard shows OD off. How can I turn it on?

asked by on

Sign says OD off. How can I turn it on? Is it safe to drive? Shift handle is loose.

My car has 129000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi, thanks for writing in. There is an OD button located on the gear selector or shift handle. Simply pushing this will turn the overdrive on or off which should cause the light in the dash to on or off.
