Q: Cracked Windshield repair

asked by on January 18, 2017

I accidentally made a spider crack in my front Windshield, bottom right corner, about 3 inches long maybe shorter. My question is, can I fix it myself, can a mechanic fix it or do I have to change the whole windshield? Thank you so much
My car has an automatic transmission.

You will need to have the crack checked by a professional glass company to inspect it and replace the windshield if they cannot repair it. Most small spider cracks can be repaired if they are less than the size of a quarter and has not spread.
