Q: coolant bottle

asked by on

I have a pinhole leak in the coolant bottle and want to know if there is a way to repair the leak without buying another bottle

My car has 163000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hey there. The coolant bottle on this car hold pressure and the material can only be sealed using a plastic welding or melting process. Otherwise, replacement is the only recommended repair. The replacement of the bottle is recommended before engine is overheated and engine damage occurs.
