Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will do what I can to assist you with this overheating problem. There are only a few reasons why your [engine](/topics-engine-chrysler/) overheated. The most common one is that the cooling fan or fans quick working. But you could have also lost the [water pump](/topics-water-pump-chrysler/) belt or the [thermostat](/topics-thermostat-chrysler/) has failed. The cooling fans are electrically operated based on engine temperature. They are also computer controlled. The easiest thing for you to check right away is the belt. Look at the front of the engine (the passenger side of the car) and make sure the belt is still there. After that, you will have to do some electrical diagnosis, and you may need a scan tool to help you.

Would that cause the lose of the heater as well?

If the coolant level drops suddenly, all the coolant drains out of the heater core. Without coolant running through the core, there is no heat. Did the heater blower quit working, or did the heater just quit blowing hot air?

It started blowing cold air

If you want, I can send you the wiring diagram for the cooling fans. However, you will have to use a DMM to perform the electrical measurements in order to diagnose the problem.
