Answers to common GMC G35/G3500 Van questions

Q: When you have a leak in your pressure hose for your power steering do you have to change both hoses or just the one that is leakin
Answered by Ronny
The leaking hose of course, definitely required replacement. As for the other one, there are two schools of thought on that. One - The other line is not leaking so leave it alone. Replace it if and when it fails....
Q: I have a P0014 Camshaft Phasing System Malfunction code on my 2004 GMC Envoy XUV. How much is it to correct this problem?
Answered by David
Hello, the P0014 problem code indicates a "camshaft over-advanced error", which means that the camshaft is over-advanced (relative to the crankshaft) more than should be possible. This condition can be caused by worn timing chain (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/timing-chain-replacement) components or a failed...
Q: Truck fired up good yesterday & now its won't start up but cranks. 2000 GMC Yukon
Answered by David
Hi - although you have an oxygen sensor heater circuit code (P0155), that would not prevent your truck from starting. Check first for other problem codes as well. Next thing to check is whether you have spark at the plugs...
Q: Blower motor not blowing air
Answered by Jessica

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Jason is knowledgable, reliable and friendly person. He took his time to explain things about my car. I highly recommend YourMechanic and Jason's service.

Tim was great; offered advice instead of just blindly fixing. Also Tim was super friendly and very genuine. Highly recommend!

Yourmechanic.com is a woman's prayered answered. My stress was zero. I didn't have to drop off the car and wait for an outrageous quote from the corner mechanic. I was able to schedule and know the price immediately. I will use yourmechanic.com from now on. If you are in the Las Vegas area. I recommend requesting Scott Franklin. He goes above and beyond customer service.

How can we help?
