Answers to common GMC G1000 Series questions

Q: Engine misfiring.
Answered by Rocco
You can usually identify an engine misfire by the distinct feeling and sound you get from the engine. A misfire is usually accompanied with a check engine light and if the misfire is critical, the check engine light will blink....
Q: Loose Steering? 2012 GMC Sierra 1500
Answered by Jay
Hey there. I would suggest having the inner and outer tie rods (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/tie-rod-end-replacement) checked for looseness and replaced if any play is found. When checking the rack and pinion mounts and bushings there should also be no looseness. The steering's...
Q: Window controls not functioning properly.
Answered by Mia
This is most likely the result of a failed power window motor or regulator. The regulator is a scissor-type lift that moves the window up and down when powered by the motor. A professional, such as one form YourMechanic, can...
Q: 2005 GMC with Denali transmission grinding in all gears including neutral. It will not accelerate and also doesn't have park.

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Tom went above and beyond to make me as satisfied as I could be. His communication was excellent. Friendly and professional and best if all, my car is running great and he did it without unnecessary repairs. I would and will highly recommend Tom and Your Mechanic to everyone. Thanks, Rob Miller.

Stephen was very professional and spoke to me in terms that I understood. Although the news about the car was not great, he explained the why's and what it would take to fix it. I will call on him again. Many thanks!

I can't say enough about how pleased I am that I found YourMechanic and Raul. I'm from out of town and didn't know who to contact to fix a truck I was borrowing. I searched the web and found YourMechanic.....thank goodness. I found Raul to be professional, an outstanding mechanic and the price was more than fair.
