Answers to common GMC 3000 questions

Q: Transmission locked
Answered by Jay
For your GMC C1500, the transmission input shaft should still turn by spinning the torque converter. If you cannot turn the converter, then you are binding the engine and transmission together. What may have happened is a torque converter that...
Q: have P1010 P1072 and P1075
Answered by Tim
Hi there. The codes you listed are related to a fault with the MAF, and a rich idle situation. In some cases, the manifold leak you've indicated can trigger these codes and will require repair in order to resolve the...
Q: Drive shaft shakes bad
Answered by Evan
From your description I believe that there may be a problem in the rear differential of your vehicle. More specifically the pinion bearings. It sounds like they may have gone bad and this has caused excess movement in the drive...
Q: whining/grinding under truck as well as intense vibration throughout whole truck when driving over 80km/h
Answered by Norman
Hi there. It does sound like failing U-joints. They may simply be worn out due to age/mileage or have run out of lubrication and are now damaged. The driveshaft shouldn't be damaged from worn joints, but if they fail completely...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Very impressed with the quality of work. Ned was on time and on budget. There were no surprise extra costs. Ned even helped me out with my other car, even though I didn't have an appointment for the other car. He took care of all of my car problems and he even found me a coupon for an oil change. I will be using this service again.

Patrick was very professional and polite. He inspected my car and found that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. He is very friendly and I would DEFINATELY recommend Patrick to all my family, friends and co-workers.

Kevin showed up ready to do his job and did just that. He showed me a couple important things on my vehicle I had overlooked and was nothing less than incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and informative. I would, without hesitation recommend him to anyone I know and would gladly use him again.
