Toby was on time and maybe a little early which I appreciated. Repair was completed BELOW initial estimate because initial the part I suspected had failed was OK. Toby, fitted some hoses and I have my windshield washers again at a VERY reasonable cost. I highly recommend Toby.

I was very pleased with Cognac and my overall experience with Your Mechanic as a whole. Cognac was very knowledgeable about and efficient at the work performed. There was rain during the originally scheduled appointment time and both Your Mechanic customer service and Cognac worked very easily with me to reschedule for a different time that day to still be able to perform the work but avoid the weather. I found Cognac to be honest and able to explain what he was doing clearly as well. He even saved me money off the original quote as I had asked for a redundant part that was unnecessary and Cognac purchased what was correct instead. I will definitely be using Cognac for future services needed for my vehicle.

Q: Top of steering shaft inside wheel sounds dry when turning how do you fix it?
Answered by Jay
It sounds like your steering clock spring in the column for the air bag and steering wheel controls is binding or getting ready to break. I recommend having the steering wheel inspected (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/creaking-noise-when-turning-the-steering-wheel-inspection) by a mechanic who can verify the...
Q: Oil sending and temp sending not working
Answered by Jeff
I would recommend installing new oil and water temperature sending units specific to the era of the new generation motor you had installed. If the wiring hookups are different on the new ones, I would suggest wiring in the hookups...
Q: Engine misfiring.
Answered by Rocco
You can usually identify an engine misfire by the distinct feeling and sound you get from the engine. A misfire is usually accompanied with a check engine light and if the misfire is critical, the check engine light will blink....
Q: Drive shaft shakes bad
Answered by Evan
From your description I believe that there may be a problem in the rear differential of your vehicle. More specifically the pinion bearings. It sounds like they may have gone bad and this has caused excess movement in the drive...
