Q: wrench came on my dashboard car stop accelerating

i was working on changing the thermostat housing so i had to disconnect the tps connector and when i was all done i try connecting it all back it wasnt going in easyky and did not click and today i was heading to work and a wrench came on my dashboard and my car stoped accelerating and started to slow the speed down pulled over on the side checked the hood it was just too much shaking tensioner belt everything just wanting to know if that tps connector might be the problem and how can i get it to go in smooth and make it click everything inside looks ok nothing is bent
