Hello Richy. Nice to hear from you today! I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating. Have you had a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that is able to read all of the computers in your vehicle to see what fault codes come up with this issue at all?

No I haven't just had a chat on the forum with a few that have had similar problem

Thank you for your reply and that information as this does help me better understand the situation. Please give me one moment to type out some info for you. I’ll be right back! Thank you for holding Richy! The fault warning that has come up is to alert to you that a fault has been detected by the gearbox ECU that there is a fault with one of the gearbox components. This in some cases may not cause any engine running or gearbox operational issues. In order to be able to determine the fault what needs to be done is to have a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that can read all of the computers in your vehicle to see if any fault codes are stored with this issue. Once this has been done, any codes that come up can then be diagnosed to help pinpoint and repair this issue. This will require the use of a high-end scan tool that can read all of your vehicle's computers. If you do not have a scan tool to check the fault codes yourself a shop or dealer can check the fault codes as well as diagnose the issue for about a 1-hour labor charge. The cost to repair the problem varies as it depends on which component has failed that requires repair or replacement.

Thanks Pete

The starter on your vehicle is located beneath the intake manifold. Because of this, it is rather difficult to replace.
