Do you have a scan tool to check the anti theft system?

Ok in that case you'll have to enlist some help. To determine what the problem is you will need to use a scan tool to read the trouble codes (if any are stored) and also to view the data in the antitheft module to see what inputs / outputs are being recognized by the module. This will determine whether you have a problem with the key, receiver, module, or any other part of the system. Since there are not any common problems for this issue, I can not recommend any specific repair for this fault. If the module has any trouble codes stored let me know what they are and I will be able to pinpoint a specific problem for this issue.

This is an easy question to answer since wiper blade size is tied to the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) specification for blades that clean the most surface area on the windshield with each cycle of pass from side to side....
Hello. It sounds like there may be an issue with the brake light wiring system. It is also possible that the brake light switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brake-light-switch-replacement) or brake light switch wiring is faulty. It would be a good idea to have...
I usually say gasoline instead of petrol. But I like a gasoline engine more than diesel (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/what-is-the-difference-between-a-diesel-and-a-gasoline-engine) ones. I'm not a diesel fan and here is the reason, diesels all smell to some extent and they put out a lot...
Hello. Thanks for writing in about your 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman. It may be the clutch failing once more causing your condition, but it could also be a sticking brake caliper (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brake-caliper-replacement) causing your brakes to overheat and smoke. Brake...
This is correct. If your car's starter was failing, it would not be able to be jump started since the power from being jump started is still eventually sent to the starter via jumper cables rather than your car's own...
Hello and thanks for your question. When you press the accelerator to deactivate the jake brake system, the electronic throttle sends a signal to the computer to shut off the power to the jake brakes for acceleration. The switch inside...
Hey there. If you have the OBD-2 connector under the dash directly under the steering column, then the ELM327 will work to scan the vehicle after you download the app. I can tell you that this adapter is very cheaply...
Hello - your Deville does not have a fuel cutoff reset button. If you can't hear the fuel pump running with the key in the "On" or "Start" position, check the fuel pump fuses, then check the fuel pump relay...
Hello. A P2181 cooling system code is really generic, and all it means is that the cooling system is too hot or too cold. Unfortunately that does not give you much to work with. Check the level of your coolant,...
