Q: Diesel vs. gasoline engines

asked by on May 19, 2016

Which engines do you prefer--diesel or petrol?

I usually say gasoline instead of petrol. But I like a gasoline engine more than diesel ones. I’m not a diesel fan and here is the reason, diesels all smell to some extent and they put out a lot of carcinogens out of their unburnt fuel.

If you’ve ever been to Mexico City, there are a lot of diesels. It stinks up the environment. If everyone would go diesel, we’d be even more polluted than we are now, so I’m not a diesel fan. Plus, they are heavy and slow. Even if you turbo charge them.
