Q: My AC is causing my acceleration to not pick up speed from a stop and the RPMs go from 1500 to 500 when AC is on
Ever since we bought the car we had the issue where when we have our AC on the RPMs go from 1500 to 500 and at a stop light the car shakes to the point it threatens to stalls. Then when we can go from the light the car wont pick up speed so we have to turn the AC off so that it can pick up speed but even then it still accelerates really slow and once we get up to speed we can turn the AC back on. We just changed the AC compressor because it locked on us and put in freeon but it still has this problem and the AC doesn't run as cold as it used to. We changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter and the air filter. So if you know whats causing it or how we can fix it I would really appreciate it.
