Q: Key not turning in ignition.

asked by on January 06, 2016

The key will not turn in the ignition past position one.

Try a different key first. If the other key also does the same thing then try to move the steering wheel to the left and right to make sure it is not in a bind. If that does not work then you will have to have the ignition lock assembly replaced by a qualified mechanic that has the ability to program the new lock cylinder for the anti theft system to work properly after replacement.
