I have a 1989 chev E 5.7 gets gas but no spark

Lack of spark can be due to several reasons. The ignition coil may have failed and is not providing spark. The ignition module or pick up coil in the distributor may have failed, or even the distributor itself may have failed. Another possibility can be a broken or loose ground to the coil or distributor, as well as in the engine wiring harness itself. Have a certified technician look into the no start condition to isolate the exact cause.
