Q: How low can my truck legally be like how high off the ground?

asked by on September 29, 2016

I want to slam my s10 but how low is to low light whats the minimum amount off the ground

I have never heard of a legal limit for how low a vehicle can be. I would not recommend going below 6 inches for the lowest part of the suspension or you will not be able to go over a speed bumps or get into some parking lots or driveways if you go much lower than this.

What else can it be?
From what you've described, this sounds like potentially a power steering pump (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/power-steering-pump-replacement) issue since the noise increases with speed which indicates it may be something related to the speed of pulley components. I would check power steering fluid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/power-steering-fluid-service)...
