2015 chrysler [200](/topics-200/), 4 liter . Car can't start because the [brake](/topics-brake-chrysler/) pedal can be put into the start position. I've been able to turn it on once. Before this situation the radio went out . I'm not sure if that's part of the issue. Looking into it this car alhas a crazy amount of problems so I don't really know what it can be. I have taken the [battery](/topics-battery-chrysler/) out since it died. I have checked the vacuum lines they are fine. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded? The terminals are cleaned already Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Chrysler 200 yourself? What have you tried so far? Check fuses, checked vacuum lines, check battery and used a different battery, tried resetting key fob and tried resetting the key fob to the car. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? No, thats it

Thanks for using JustAnswer.com! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I'll try to answer your car questions. I'll start off with some basic checks to do, then we can get into more advanced diagnostics if needed. Let me know if any questions come up, or if there is anything I can do to help! You can update this message at anytime. - I'm sorry to hear about any troubles with the vehicle, but would be glad to try and help! - Is the [engine](/topics-engine-chrysler/) cranking over but not starting, or is this a no crank issue? If seeing warning messages on the dash, try using the key fob to press the start button with, while foot on the brake. If engine doesn't crank over, recommend double checking [transmission](/topics-transmission-chrysler/) to be sure it's in park, then check brake light operation. If both working normally, but engine wont crank over, we'll need to get it scanned for trouble codes to see what's going on. - Lemme know what youre seeing, or if any questions come up while checking things out!

The engine gets two small moves but no solid crank, No warning messages, no codes, tried the key fob to start, brake lights work. I've checked all the fuses, check vacuum line no cracks. But the brake pedal won't move more then a quarter inch, so it won't activate that start for the computer system, in this piece of shit lemon of a car.The engine gets two small moves but no solid crank, No warning messages, no codes, tried the key fob to start, brake lights work. Thanks for updating. If brake lights are coming on, suspect the brake switch input is being seen. If engine tries to crank over, possible power supply issue to the starter, or input from transmission range sensor or from the shifter is intermittent and isn't allowing consistent power to the starter. Use snap on/mac tools type scanner to interrogate the shifter and transmission modules. If not seeing codes, and inputs from each of the sensors is good, try resetting modules by disconnecting both battery cables and touching cable ends together for 2 minutes. If issue still present at that time, check power supply to the starter. Use remote power supply direct to the starter and see if engine will crank over. If it still wont crank over, suspect internal engine issue. Look for valvetrain solenoid issues/bleed back, check oil pressure while engine cranking over, then look for bearing failure not allowing engine to crank over normally. Lemme know what youre seeing, or if any questions come up while checking things out!

It really still stems from not being able to compress the brake

But if brake lights are coming on, would suspect the input from brake switch is being seen. Brake pedal will get fairly stiff if all vacuum is used from the booster, but should still be able to press the pedal far enough to get engine to start. If youre hearing the starter trying to crank the engine over, would check the power supply getting to the starter, see if any codes setting in transmission module and shifter module. Lemme know what youre seeing, or if any questions come up while checking things out!

Lights staying on
Hi. You don't specify which lights are stuck on, so I'm going to assume you're talking about the headlights. The problem could be the headlight switch, a stuck closed relay, a short in the circuit or a problem with the...
Coolant leak around water pump
Hi. This is a sign that the seals in the water pump are beginning the fail. Behind the pulley, there should be a small hole for the coolant to leak out of. Without the hole, coolant could seep into the...
Stalling dying when stopped

Won't shift out of park 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

My truck won't start on the key but will start straight up on a jump start I have changed the glow plugs and the deisel pipes
Hello. If your car will not start on its own, but will with a jump start, then the first thing I would check is the battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-a-car-battery). If the battery is old or worn it may no longer have enough...

leaking coolant bad
Engine coolant can leak externally through a hose, radiator, water pump, etc. or internally due to a leaking head gasket and sometimes a leaking intake manifold gasket depending on the engine design. External leaks are typically found by simple pressure...
