That sounds like you just have a short in the turn signal switch, have you tried replacing that yet ?

No but why wouldn't my turn signals come instead of jus my tail lights

its just how the switch is shorted, it sounds like a low voltage short to the brake lights circuit

My knowledge and capabilities and access to tools are limitless... I've been a mechanic for the past 25 yrs this jus has me stumped

I would start with replacing the switch first

I have led bulbs in my tail lights and regular 3157's in my turn signal bulbs... would that create a problem

it shouldnt, did this happen when you replaced the lights?

No this is the 3rd or 4th time.... my hood is up and it rained all day so I started at fuse box cause it was wet

if your moving the switch and its turning off that would indicate a issue with the switch

Ok there off now and they stayed off when I pulled the switch down (left turn) but not upI jus need to try the turn signal switch
