Q: car died due to lack of oil, would turn over but would die within seconds

asked by on February 21, 2017

I was unaware that my engire was low on oil, I was depending on the oil change sticker, from Valvoline, and it had about 600 miles to go. My mistake. SO the car sputtered out, no acceleration out of nowhere, then completely seized. Will start but not run for 5 seconds.

Can I try putting oil in and operating the vehicle, or is it done for?

My car has 105000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
