So please don't let this automatic service prompt annoy you. If you prefer to talk verses type then please use the phone call option.** Hello, no you cant use a programmed fob from an 06 in a 2010. Different system. Also if you replaced those modules, they would all need to be programmed by a dealer. If not they will not work properly if at all. Keys or non bladed key fobs have to be programmed by a dealer or locksmith to work with the anti theft system.

what if i just swap to the old bcm and immobilizer, is there something i can do
Automotive Expert
No, its a totally different computer network system, you cannot mix and match and plug and play, the old system will not work with the newer system in the car. It would be cheaper and easier to have it fixed correctly than go that route.

no, not trying to swap parts from the 06 to the 2010 i only ask about the keyfob to see if it would work. sorry i didnt explain me self better. lets just leave the keyfob and the 06 out. now about the 2010 armada, what can i do if i just put back the old bcm and immobilizer back?
Automotive Expert
No problem. Modules and keys/fobs have to be programmed to the vehicle to work.

at this point i do have a different bcm and immbilizer. but i still have the old bcm and immobilizer. if i just go and replace the original bcm and immobilizer, witch at that point the vehicle is going to have all its modules and immobilizer.let me just rephrase my question. my antitheft icon in the instrument cluster stays lid in the on position, what does that mean and what can i do if theres a problem with the Antitheft system?
Automotive Expert
If it blinks it is not reading the security chip. You are mixing up parts. At this point I would put the original parts back in and have it diagnosed correctly.

it only blinks when the key is in the off position, but when i turn it to the on position the icon stays lid, no more blinking. just solid icon .im not mixing up parts, like i said, just forget that i mention that i swap parts.im tryng to get help with how to get out of the lock mode, thats my issue, i didnt swap anything in the vehicle. now what would it be the procedure if i just want to get out f the lock procedure.or is there a way i can cancel the antitheft system or bypass the immobilizer
Automotive Expert
No way to bypass it, if it stays on it should be working. Put it back to what it should be and have a diagnostic run. You cant just plug and play modules. It screws up a lot of things.

how come in the manual it says it only supposed to stay on for like 2 seconds.
Automotive Expert
If there is a problem with it, it will blink, it should come on for a few seconds and then go out. All I can tell you is the system cannot be bypassed, if it blinks fast it is not reading the chip. Otherwise you need to put the right parts back in and run a diagnostic on the whole car. all of the modules and go from there.

i just told you it blinks when the key is in the off position. but onces in the on position it dont blink anymore it stays lid up.nevermind, i can tell your doing the same thing as the other " TECH" . thank you very mcuh for your help. Have a nice day.
Automotive Expert
It will blink when off, when you turn the key on it should stay on and then go off.

well it doesn't go off.

You need a dealer level scan tool to test the system, either a local locksmith can come out to you to test the system once you put it back to the original equipment or have it towed to a dealer and pay more for their diagnosis. I hope you find this information helpful. If any part of my response is unclear, please let me know. It’s my goal to deliver excellent service, so please let me know if there is anything more I can do. Thank you for using our site.

can you please tell me how to get out of the lock mode, or why is the bcm or immobilizer not reading my chip?just never mind. i got to start driving home.
Automotive Expert
You cannot bypass the system, I understand your frustration. But I cannot tell you how to bypass an anti theft system. I also cannot tell you why it is not working unless you hook up the proper diagnostic equipment to test the system. That is the protocol and how it works. You might find some stuff on youtube to bypass a system But I cannot legally tell you how to do so.

like i said your just giving me the runaround like the other guy. and whos telling you about bypass? did you read my question?HOW DO GET OUT OF THE LOCK MODE? WHATS THE STEPS OR PROCEDURE?have a good night.
Automotive Expert
No need to yell, I have told you repeatedly, it cannot be bypassed. if you dont want to take the steps to have it checked out, you will keep hanging parts. That is your choice. That is all I can tell you. Have a nice evening.

like i said your just like the other fool. look in page 145 of the repair manual. there is a get out of the lock mode procedure. So thanks for nothing. I DID IT MY SELF.
Automotive Expert
Have a nice evening, glad to hear you are up and running.
Automotive Expert
Sorry you felt the need to leave a negative rating, my answers are based off of your input. Your main question was asking if you can use a 2006 part in a 2010 car and the answer was given and correct. No it could not be used. the rest of your question was about mix matching parts. You lost me after that section of confusion. When you replace keys they are meant to be programmed to a vehicle.
