**ok, so we have a check engine light and white smoke coming out of the exhaust. The very first thing you have to do is to get a code reader and connect to the OBD2 connector under the dash and see what fault codes are stored in the computer. until that is done, there is no sense in doing anything else. the white smoke could be coolant leaking into the combustion chamber or oil blow-by.**

It has got very unpleasant smoke

What about the unpleasant smoke like chemical texture
Automotive Expert
whatever is coming out of the tailpipe is probably coolant/oil mixture. this can be a sign of leaking intake manifold gaskets or even a head gasket. you need to have the fault codes read, please.

Okay thanks I will do it tomorrow and let u know
Automotive Expert

Engine light on, misfire cylinder 6
The rough idle may be related to the low compression in cylinder #6. Low compression (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-do-a-compression-test-by-robert-tomashek) will continue to cause a misfire until it is corrected. This will cause detonation and timing problems which is what indirectly causes the misfire....
Engine temp reads low 2005 Chevrolet Impala

A malfunctioning thermostat could allow enough engine heat for heater...
