Joshua is an outstanding mechanic. He is friendly, trustworthy, and he gets the job done FAST. Yesterday, he helped me swap out the harmonic balancer and replace the worn drive belts in my car. Despite working in the rain and on the side of a Berkeley street, he managed to get the car going in just 40 minutes. Would definitely recommend.

Raul came out and replaced the clutch on my 2006 Subaru Outback and communicated early and often and was done in about 5 hours. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Raul and YourMechanic.com to friends and colleagues. This is a wonderful service and I hope to continue being a customer.

Richard was great. He was running late as a result of picking up the parts for the job and called me to let me know his arrival time. Once he got here, he was very professional and nice to talk to. He told me about his interesting background and experience and it was clear that he knows what he is doing and is a professional. I would recommend Richard highly.

Lots of noise on startup, car isn’t a morning person

Head gaskets failed how likely is it to happen again?

Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question. The design of the “boxer” engine makes for a high probability of head gasket problems. Coolant and oil drainage isn’t like typical “V” or inline style engines, so coolant and oil...
