Tyrone was great. Brake pads and rotors in less than 2 hours. A pin got stuck the next day and he came out that night -in the rain- and fixed it. Everything's great now.

by Matt from Arlington, VA 22206

Tyrone was courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable, leading me through my cars maintenance and pointing out some additional items I might want to have checked in the near future. He communicated very well, noting when a previous appointment went long and setting clear expectations for when he'd arrive. I'll book Tyrone again for any future maintenance needs.

Marcus was early and very professional. He creatively problem solved when the car was less than cooperative and performed the repairs quickly and efficiently. I would happily call Marcus again for further repairs.

by Vicki from Upper Marlboro, MD 20772

Marcus showed up an hour early and diagnosed and fixed the problem within a few minutes. The screeching noise along with difficulty turning the steering wheel when first starting up car was the belt tensioner needing adjustment from a previous mechanic who replaced the belt but did not adjust properly. I agreed with his inspection report of what else my car would need. His honesty and integrity is much appreciated. I will be scheduling Marcus to come back for the remaining repairs indicated in his report.

Timing belt failed, how do I keep it from happening twice?
Answered by Tom Rendahl
Hello! Thank you for writing in with this question. Timing belt replacement is generally recommended by Subaru at 105,000 miles, or 105 months. Other manufacturers recommend replacing them between 60,000-90,000 miles. It is very possible that there were contributing factors...
Driver seat broke and basically collapsed
Answered by Tom Rendahl
Greetings! Thank you for writing in about this problem. The welds on the seat brackets may have broken. This seems to be a common problem in this generation of Forester. A professional mechanic from YourMechanic can diagnose what failed (https://www.yourmechanic.com/book/?mktg_jid=391)...
Lots of noise on startup, car isn’t a morning person
