Answers to common BMW 135is questions

Q: Spotty / Sputtering Acceleration
Answered by John
At 60 thousand miles, your car should have had a major service that includes inspecting a lot of the parts that may be suspect. Spark plugs, filters, vacuum lines, would normally be checked and the problem might be located then....
Q: No power. Only uses bank 2 to fire
Answered by Robert
Hi there. It would be helpful to know the year of the car in this case to supply the most accurate information. If it were the map sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/manifold-absolute-pressure-sensor-map-sensor-replacement), then it would affect all cylinders. Try checking the spark plugs...
Q: Transmission fluid change
Answered by Jay
Hi there. This car has a possibility of at least 3 different types of transmissions and all three do not have a standard dipstick. The drain and fill procedure is different for all three transmissions and all require the manufacture...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

I have to be honest, this was the first time that, I have EVER felt 'at-ease' around an auto mechanic. Jonas was thorough and straight forward with me about the issues; gave me a quote directly after doing the diagnostics on the car and, as it turned out, it cost me less than the original estimate. When does that ever happen with auto repairs ?? He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. You folks made the whole experience convenient and painless. I'm "sold" on the "Your Mechanic" concept. I'll probably never take my car again to a traditional mechanic !! Jonas was a pleasure to deal with !

Tim was great; offered advice instead of just blindly fixing. Also Tim was super friendly and very genuine. Highly recommend!

Paul did a good job fixing my car quickly. He also got a accurate diagnostic of my car's isues.
