Q: truck will not reverse

asked by on

truck will go into drive yet it will not move when put in reverse.

My car has 165000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This could be caused by a shifter linkage mis-adjustment, or possibly internal transmission damage. Unfortunately, YourMechanic does not do transmission repair. I suggest having a reputable local transmission shop perform the repair.
