Hi there! I would not want to fault your transmission so early. When stopped at a light, the transmission is not in use because the transmission is only in use when the car is moving. The transmission will only slip if it is in use. That being said, I believe the vehicle may have an alternative issue. I would recommend that a technician, like those from YourMechanic, test drive the vehicle and inspect your vehicle to determine if the transmission is in fact slipping.
