I have a 2018 [Corolla](/topics-corolla/). The driver side wiper has not worked well since I bought the car. I’m on my third set of wiper blades. The passenger side wiper works perfectly. The driver side wiper chatters like crazy. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? Do you know if there is power to the wiper motor? The wiper works. It just chatters. Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Corolla yourself? What have you tried so far? I have tried the new blades. I have taken it to the dealership, and asked if they could adjust the wiper arm tension, but they said no. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Can the wiper arm be adjusted or should I have it replaced?

The only adjustment is by removing and reinstalling to change where it stops at, but no adjustment to make it have better contact to the glass. You can try bending it by hand some, but I can tell you that that method just makes it worse. It was likely manufactured slightly out of specs on the angle and the best option is just replace the arm Thanks for using Just Answer and letting me help you. I hope I provided what you needed.
