Q: Tilt wheel problems.

asked by on February 26, 2017

I was wondering if there was a way to tilt my steering wheel up even when my vehicle does not have the tilt wheel function? The steering wheel sits too low on my lap, I used my owners manual to locate the tilt wheel function but there wasn't one, everything about my vehicle is basic, manual everything except it has power steering.

My car has 84000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

You cannot alter the steering column to tilt up more. You would have to replace the column with one that has the tilt function.

Check engine light came on. Had it checked and it was a right wheel speed sensor. Showed code error. Is this a serious problem?
Hi, thanks for writing in. With a failed wheel speed sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-wheel-speed-sensor), your anti-lock brakes, traction control and/or stability control systems will not function properly. These systems rely on wheel speed sensors to determine when and if braking needs to...

Hi there. First check the brake system and see if the brakes (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/proportioning-combination-valve-replacement) are stuck on. If the brakes are not stuck on, then the transmission may have low fluid. Check the transmission fluid level and see if its full...
