Car has had the following problem twice. Exactly the same way:
While driving, it lost acceleration and shortly after it totally turned off. Battery, lights, radio is still working but car won't crank back up.
Towed it to shop. They did a tune up and cleaned boots which had oil on them. Car went back on the road. 2 weeks later. It happened again. Towed it to same shop. They now Found short in the wire harness. A wire which goes in a coil. Is it okay to repair the wires or should replace the whole harness?
Is it possible that they are not detecting the right problem?
