My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello, and thank you for writing in. Your vehicle is equipped with the Park Assist feature which will help you park in difficult situations. When the computer system detects there is an issue, the warning light illuminates to let you know the system is down and not capable of being utilized. Your owner’s manual will have more information about the system and what to do in case it malfunctions. It may be a sensor or switch malfunction. Scan the vehicle for diagnostic codes, and use whatever code has illuminated the warning light to point you in the right direction. This can be done by most technicians and automotive parts stores. For more help, contact our service department to schedule an appointment.
