Q: My car stutters when I accelerate sometimes and it also now sounds like a motorboat when I accelerate

asked by on March 15, 2018

My cars acceleration stutters when I accelerate the majority of the time. Doesn't seem to matter the weather. I also have noticed a motorboat sound or loud hum when I accelerate but never when I'm just idling, coasting, or breaking. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

My car has 156000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
