High my Lexus IS wont turn on

Please understand that I do not know your knowledge or capabilities so I **may** need to ask questions to find out basic information to help solve your specific problem. Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible. If the brake lights do not come on then you most likely have a problem with the brake switch because the engine will not start if the computer does not see that the brake pedal is pushed. Also check the battery. It should have 12.5 volts +/-. If the voltage is not correct then you will need to recharge the battery and load test it to make sure it is ok to use. If the battery is good then you may have a problem with the starter or the transmission range sensor (neutral safety switch). If the computer doesn't see the vehicle in park or neutral then it will not allow the starter engagement. If the range sensor was bad then it can cause this problem. The next time it has this problem try to wiggle the shifter or put it in neutral and see if it will start. If it does then the range sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced. If that doesn't work then we'll need to check the starter. First check the battery. It should have 12.5 volts +/-. While turning the ignition to the start position, check the small wire on the starter solenoid. It should have battery voltage. If you have battery voltage, then check the main power cable to the starter. It is the bigger wire. It should have battery voltage at all times. If you have voltage at both wires, then your starter is bad. If you do not, then you may have a problem with the relay or ignition switch signal. My goal is to earn a 5 star rating experience. Break light don't turn on

Ok then your brake light switch is faulty and will need to be replaced. Make sure you are pushing the pedal far enough to engage the switch. It will be hard to push the pedal but you can still push it enough to engage the switch.

Ok then we'll have to do some testing. Do you have a voltmeter?

I don't know what that is, but I'm sure that I don't .I did have a mechanic come look at the car and he ran a diagnostic test, which told him the battery was not putting out enough power. So I'm gonna see if getting a new battery will solve the issue, but the lights in my dashboard turn on and so does the lights over my head. Which makes me believe that the battery is fine. Now I know that other things on working, like the brake lights, Headlights, the windows, the seats, even the unlock and lock features are not working. So maybe it is the battery but I'm not sure

Ok. If the brake lights work then it may be your battery. You can try to jump start it.
