Q: Is it a 4 speed or 5 speed?

When using the bump shift, it only goes up to 4. Is that the way it is supposed to be?

My car has 133000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello. Thanks for writing in about your Mazda Protege5. Your 5th speed is known as overdrive. Manual shift does not use overdrive. This is normal operation.
