Yesterday omw to work my car ran fine. Then omw my home it started running rough. Now it won't go past 45 and when I come to a stop it cuts off.

My car has 117344 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Typically a mechanic will apply a real time automotive scanner to look at actual engine operating parameters. Your issue could be as simple as a failing fuel pump, or ignition coil, although there are a couple key sensors that can cause this "loss of power" as well.
