For your 2010 Ford Taurus, the engine water pump is driven by the timing chain for the engine and not driven by a regular serpentine belt like most engines. This will require removal of the engine timing chain to replace the pump. This repair should only be done by a trained mechanic with the special tools and experience to replace the timing chain and water pump on this motor. If not done correctly then the engine may get damaged and not run again.
