Q: In the process of changing my water pump, turn the engine backwards. 2002 Ford Focus ZX3

asked by on January 12, 2017

I have a 2002 focus zx3 2.0 zetech. I im in the process of changing my water pump. In order to get the water pump pulley out I read that it is necessary to remove the crankshaft pulley. I tried to break the bolt free and ended up turning the crankshaft pulley a good bit. How bad did I just mess up? I might add that the water pump on my engine is not ran off the timing belt. The timing belt was still on when the crankshaft pulley was turned. There was no belt on the crankshaft pulley.
