Q: Had two inspections from your mechanic that I payed for and am still having the same problem. Car cuts off when sitting/idling.

Just had to pay for another inspection on the same problem. Had the crankshaft sensor put in and a starter per recommendations stating that was the problem. Now I'm told it's wiring issues I need fixed. What are th inspections for if I'm paying for something that is not related to or fixing the problem. Wires were moved and was told it was a simple fix. That the problem is fixed. My mechanic is lovely and has patience but I am just wasting money on guesses. The car starts then runs for a few minutes and shuts off. It's cranking back up but it did this after a couple of minutes of running. I am at a lost. Wasted alot if time and money for nothing. Just be told to get another inspection. What is being inspected if I have to have two done. The same issue car cuts off while driving and idling while sitting.

My car has 194000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
