Stay on Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car? 2016 dodge dart Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Dart yourself? What have you tried so far? Yes. Changed thermostat Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Bluetooth will disconnect randomly. Abs lights constantly on. Will go off for a few minutes then come back on

Hello and welcome to just answer. My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be assisting you today. I am sorry you are having this issue but hopefully I can help. Whar is the code you are having that is causing the check engine light to come on?Chris

The only code that came up was for the thermostat. So we replaced it a couple days ago. Seemed to run fine and cleared all the codes. Then my light came back on yesterday. We hooked it to the computer and no code came up. We thought it was weird. Then the light went off. Drove it back home from out at the shop. Went to start it this morning and my dash was like a Christmas tree and as soon as it started it popped up saying my engine was overheating, [battery](/topics-battery-dodge/) light, abs, traction control, everythingI also have no recalls that need to be fixed on my car.

Gotcha. Let's recheck the code(s) one more time since this last event from this morning and then get back to me when you can. Chris

Okay!
Automotive Expert
Thanks. I will keep an eye out for your reply laterChris

Also my etc light was on! And with the Bluetooth, it will shut off randomly. This has done this since before the car ever started having lights come on. And the abs and tire sensor codes/light have been an ongoing problem for a year and have been replaced 3 times. I am having someone run a computer on it in just a little bit so I should have codes for you after while! Thank you!

The codes are: p0118, u0401-00,u0415-00,u0420-00, c2100-16, c212a-16,c15e9-00, u0401, p0118, u0415,u0422-00

Okay, after researching this, most of the codes are communication related. In other words the various control modules/computers are seeing invalid data between each other. This may be a particular module corrupting the data, or a CAN bus communication issue due to a wiring problem. These can be tricky to find and I highly recommend asking the dealer to track this down. They have special test tools that will help find this communication problem. If you wish I can send you the diagnostic procedures for each code, but here is one example in the link below. Chris

Okay, thank you so much!
